WELCOME
Simply put, art is my passion, and something that I feel compelled to do.
Whether it is a play of light and color in nature, people interacting,
traveling to new places, or the awe-inspiring beauty of a landscape
that leaps out at me,
I find inspiration everywhere. Sometimes it is just
a brief moment that needs to be translated into “art”, something captured
and put on paper or canvas. I work with watercolor with its subtle
movement of pigments in water, creating vibrant landscapes. I thoroughly
enjoy making rich and bold images with acrylics and oils. I love the
excitement and challenges of experimenting in all mediums, but mostly
enjoy painting with my heart.
Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, beginning with
feeling the absolute magic of drawing on the blackboard in kindegarten.
My grandfather was an artist who shared his love of drawing, painting,
and sculpture with me. Later, I was fortunate to have studied at Moore
College of Art in Philadelphia, where I continued this journey. Raising two
children limited my personal studio time, but gave me the opportunity to
teach and share my passion with them. I’ve studied with many gifted
teachers, and continue to share creating with outstanding painters. Now
living at the Delaware beach, I’m drawn to the quiet beauty of nature here.
Expression, observation, experimentation, and a willingness to take risks
are my guidelines today. I participate and show in a wide rnge of local
and regional organizations and venues, and have been honored by many.
At the end of the day, any time in my studio is a joy.
